Tiong Bahru Bakery is a French bakery and cafe situated in one of the hip neighbourhoods in Singapore, Tiong Bahru. Owned by Spa Esprit Group, we worked with them to design a website to help increase their presence and provide a platform for users to check their menu and connect with them.
The website's design is inspired from the feel of Tiong Bahru's neighbourhood and the actual cafe. Most of the visual elements on the design were hand-drawn by me from my observations walking around the cafe's area. Tiong Bahru has a distinct Art Deco style. Its buildings are streamlined with poles sticking on top on some of them.
The menu's dividers were also hand-drawn to evoke a skeuomorphic shelf. Whilst the website have many images and custom drawings, it is responsive and does not affect its load time on smaller devices.
